How to use Tesselation
Witty Mini Tut by Cal aka C-N-S Graphics PSP 9 (works with other versions)
Needed PSP Flaming Pear Tesselation Trial HERE
This mini tut is set up to show you the basics for it.
Working on your Image
This assumes you are at a loss on using this filter.
1 Effects > Plugins > Flaming Pear > Tesselation Settings:
Note: This screen shot shows with sizes I used. The original image size was 1200 pixels wide by 400 pixels high. This will vary depending on your own preference's for the width used. Note the height is set at 370, this will vary as to how much of your image you wish to blend.
The Settings
These are self explanatory. We will use these for your learning experience.
1 This is where you set your width.
2 Here you see the height = 370 this is the default used by the filter.
3 Here you select the type of blending. This is the default as well, but you can play and see how it looks to you.
4 Here you set how you want it to look. As you can see I selected just the one option.
5 Click OK if you're done playing.
What they do
1 Determines the width used.
2 Sets the amount of blending, by removing 30 pixels from the bottom, to overlay it on the top.
3 Blending mode selector, this is the default setting that sets the blending placement.
4 This allows the image to Wrap top and bottom and sides when selected.
5 Click OK if you're done playing.
The Final Process
1 This is the final step needed to complete this process.
2 Crop Tool (R) Toolbar Settings: Width = 1200 Height = 370
Click the
Note: The width and height will be that of your own.
3 The reason for the Crop Tool is to remove the excess blank area that the Tesselation effect creates. See screen shot.
Note: I save my work to take into Letter Creator, but I do not close PSP out until I am sure I have successfully created the blended seamless appearance on my work. If not I go back into PSP and undo and try again.
Remember the Undo (Alt+Backspace; Ctrl+Z) is your favorite friend.
I hope this mini tutorial I have written helps you understand the functions and the workings of this filter. |
